Paid Listings - a useful addition to optimisation

Paid Listings, better known as Ad-words or Sponsored Links, describe advertisements in search engines which insert a short text and a link to a web-site using previously defined queries.

Just as technical search engine optimisation places a web-site in the object area of a query, this method makes it possible to speak directly to your target market.

These advertising flashes are shown separately from the neutral results and, as a rule, they point to a lower frequency level of visitors compared with a positioning in an independent area.

However, these campaigns can complement a technical search engine optimisation whether as temporary product campaigns or with keywords which are difficult to place in the Top 10 or can only be placed on a long-term basis due to their high level of competition.

The success and benefits to be gained from these campaigns depend directly on the number of keywords and the type of flash used and their management, in turn, requires a certain level of know-how.
